Any insurance agency properly licensed in Maine to engage in fire, marine, casualty or surety
insurance, of good standing and good business reputation, and shall have agreed to the objects of this Association, and to abide by its bylaws and shall have paid such association dues, shall be eligible for active membership in the Association.
The American Insurance Agency System shall be defined as a system of marketing insurance by licensed independent agents, who are not employees of an insurance company, who own their own renewals and expirations, who have as a major source of income revenues produced from the marketing of insurance and who operate bilateral agreements with one or more insurance companies. |  |
